I've Got This!
I am committed to being an effective member of the global digital community by writing children’s picture books on feelings and emotions and social-emotional learning (SEL). These books work to help children understand themselves and their place in the world and to enrich academic development.

Put your hand over your heart.
Breathe. Say, “I’ve got this!” out loud. Breathe. Keep your hand over your
heart and say it three more times: “I’ve got this!” “I’ve got this!” “I’ve got
this!” Breathe after each exclamation.
This engages the vagus nerve and the left
brain, the logic/thinking side. It is calming to volatile emotions and allows
me to think clearly through the distress. I can have a knee-jerk reaction to
stress, run willy-nilly through the forest and never call my accountability partners.
Or, I can engage my smart, left brain problem-solver and get the job done.
Aloha love,
Carla
